Thunder Drums in London EC1.

Amancara & I are going to this on Sunday. Looks like it will be an ongoing happening from April onwards. 8)

Amancara couldn't make it, as she's done herself a mischief at work. But I went..
It was in St Mark's Church in Islington.

That's Lennie the tutor there (have you spotted the orb above his head??). The little lad on the right is Andrew, and he comes from Wellington in NZ! The girl behind Lenny is Donya (not sure of that spelling) & she brought her own drum.

Donya is lovely - here is a pic of her & me with her Iranian drum called a ......hmm can't remember now! :oops:

I just has a courtesy call from Lennie Charles, the course tutor! :) We chatted about all sorts of things including magnolia trees, dowsing and of course new drumming courses! It was nice.

He has another course starting on 2nd May (every first Sunday of the month), with Djembes, Bongos, Darbukas, Frame drum or Bodhran & exploring rhythms from around the world. I think I will go.

It was a birthday celebration for the group leader, Nihat, but he was stuck in the US, unable to get back to the UK because of the ash cloud!! :lol:

Pity about Nihat BUT you can do it all again when he gets back from the USA. :wink:
