Wasn't there someone on here who was into Gangaji? I'm sure there was!

Saturday 11 June 2011 - 10.30 AM to 5.00 PM
The Inward Dive
GANGAJI

This event takes place at The University of London's Brunei Gallery, School of Oriental and African Studies, Russell Square Campus, Thornhaugh Street, London WC1H 0XG.
"This is the dive inside. It is the willingness to override the imaginary defenses born of fear or self-judgment for the deeper plunge within. Right here, in this moment, is the opportunity to be open and undefended. In this opening, inquire what is here and what needs nothing else to be. In the core, what doesn’t move, what doesn’t change? How deep is peace?" –Gangaji

More here from Alternatives.

Also...

Saturday 07 May 2011 - 10.30 AM to 4.30 PM

Living a Miraculous Life
DEEPAK CHOPRA

“A renowned physician and author, Deepak Chopra is undoubtedly one of the most lucid and inspired philosophers of our time.” - Mikhail Gorbachev.

We invite you to join Deepak Chopra for a rare one-day seminar, in which he will teach you to deconstruct your self-imposed limitations and take your life to its next level.

The subject of Deepak's event is self power: what it is and how to have it. Join Deepak as he shares his latest work and encourages you to become your own empowered, authentic self, capable of gaining ultimate mastery and influence over your own life.

Not me, either.

Saw Deepak Chopra a few years ago and found his lecture most sleep-making. Just fact after fact in a monotone. A brilliant man but no charisma. :(

Ooh, I'm glad you told me, Paul - I couldn't bear that. I'll give it a miss then!

Today I received two books ordered from Cygnus - Butterfly Tai Chi (it's got some lovely stances, like 'cow turns to look at the moon' and 'dredging the sea & looking at the sky'! It's a teach-yourself-at-home book) and Quantum Shift in the Global Brain by Ervin Laszlo.

Something to get my teeth into!
