I was disappointed with the solstice celebration tonight.
They had the Hare Krishna mantra singers on far too long. So that there was only 10 minutes or so of drumming & dancing at the end, and no food at all. :(
I may not go to this again.

That WAS a bit tough for you, Helen. I'm sorry that you were disappointed.

Perhaps you could email them and tell them of your feelings in the hope that they will arrange a more balanced event next time.

I wonder if this would be worth going to?

Better eyesight naturally.

I'd be interested to know if Peter Grunwald ever had eye problems & cured them.

He's one of yours, Michael :) ever heard of him?

William Bloom is at Alternatives on 1st June, talking about reincarnation - I think I'll go to this one.

Looks good and he sounds excellent on his short video.

If you DO go and think he is OK please let us know because I see that he will be in Birmingham later this year and we might consider going.

Alternatives now has a new website. I don't like it at all. And it seems you now have to pay for events online before attending - and the price has gone up! I've gone off them! :(

It seems that you now have no alternatives.

It is tough particularly as costs increase but pensions don't keep up with them. :(

Don't know of him Helen. The "eye wonder" we all know is Fred Hollows (Foundation). He does wonders for Pacific islanders but he's more conventional.

Not yet, Helen, but Gill's Mother's bungalow has been sold and we get the dosh tomorrow (says our solicitor). This is a far larger cash bonus than the state pays :P 8) coupled with the relief of getting rid of the place.

All we have to do is pay everyone out and we will be FREE! :multi: :multi: :multi:

And now I realise that you can only buy a ticket by creating an account, and can only do this through Twitter, Facebook or Google! :evil: Which rules me out completely.

(Edit: however I've managed to create an account now, didn't need Twitter et al! Hate all this faffing around though.}
