I'm re-posting this as it's a very interesting trip..

International Seminar - 'Earth's Fields and their Influence on Organisms'

Dowsers are invited to participate in an International Seminar in Vilnius to consider “Earth's Fields and their Influence on Organisms“ to be held June 12-15, 2008 in Vilnius, Lithuania. Organized by the Baltic Dowsers` Association, Institute of Geology and Geography, Vilnius Pedagogical University and the company ‘Ferigi’. This event is devoted to the International Year of Planet Earth.

Tri-lingual translation provided: English, Russian and Lithuanian.

Participants meeting in Vilnius will be driven 130km south to the venue Druskininkai and be returned. Cost will probably be about 120 Euros, to include seminar fee, local transport, accommodation and food (cheap flights available from UK). *

The Seminar will focus on bio-location effects - radiesthesia, dowsing, mental-information processing, and so on - appertaining to rhythmic biogeophysical phenomena, the earth’s geophysical fields including methods and equipments used in investigation of geology, archaeology, architecture, alternative medicine and other fields. Questions relating to human interaction with nature, cultural and social-psychological issues will be discussed.

A day of excursions and practical exercises will be organized in the Raigardas Valley area to see natural bio-geophysical anomalies and to dowse at special places.

Presentations are invited (there is a deadline of April 15) and abstracts and articles received will be published before the event. * I found a really cheap return flight from Gatwick here with Lithuanian Airlines. It works out at around £69 return with no changes!

:D Now I'm back in business with my dog sitter 8) 8) I have emailed the people concerned to find out more about the arrangements for this seminar. I found a return flight for £69.00 :!: to Vilnius from Gatwick, but the page has timed out - will have to look again! No-one else interested?

This seminar is also co-sponsored by a company called Ferigi based in Vilnius.

So they take geopathic stress much more seriously over there than we do here.

I've just received the final programme, and realise it's only a month away! How exciting 8)

One of the presentations by Jouzas Kameneckas of Lithuania, is "Crystal bowl effect on energetic balance & buildup of human energy field". :) I hope the English translation is good.

Look at the 5 day forecast for Vilnius!! :D I hope it keeps this up!! 8)

(The exchange rate £:litas is gently going up too, so things are looking good! Barclays are offering me just over 4 litas to the pound - well yesterday anyway - so we'll see what it's like next week. There seems to be such probs using plastic in such countries, that I decided just to take local currency. Can you imagine the embarrassment trying to pay for the hotel with a CC, to have it denied??)

You will feel fine once you're on the plane. The worst thing about going away is getting organised beforehand. Don't forget your digital camera for the photo diary!

You wonder why I get nervous?

I tried checking the flights I booked..way back in February...and one site said they didn't exist!!! :shock:

Tried again, and now another site says it leaves at 8.15am, not 8.30am!

So I've emailed flyLAL and asked them to confirm it all!

The number I have for flyLAL in the UK just rings & rings & no-one answers it. :( Although the first time I called it was engaged - so someone must be there!!

It's just too late to worry any more - I'll either be going to Lith, or I won't!

[Edit 6pm. Oh god, I've just waved goodbye to Lulu. I always get smothered in guilt whenever I have to leave her with someone when I go away. :cry: ]
