I always look at the pics, but don't comment so much. Just love these "so England" photos. |

I love the tree with the mistletoe. The only place I saw mistletoe growing was in Lithuania!! What species of tree is it? |

It thought it looked like a Robinia Pseudo Acacia but it could have been an Ash tree. I couldn't get close enough to really examine the bark or the leaves. Mistletoe grows on at least eight species of tree. Each having its own special 'medical' application in Anthroposophical medicine. The eight species that I am aware of are
V A Mali - Apple tree V A Pini - Pine tree (unspecified) V A Betulae - Birch V A Aceris - Maple (unspecified) V A Fraxini - Ash (SWMBO's treatment) V A Quercus - Oak V A Abietis - Fir I hope this complicates your query, Thais. |

Quote: I hope this complicates your query, Thais. It certainly does! The tree in Lithuania was a quirky Quercus. |

Hampton Court Palace. 365 chimneys - all different. (Or so I was always led to believe - one for every day of the year). |

Did you drive down there, Paul, or was it a 'day coach trip'? |
