Just a few from out recent trip. We loved Turkey! The people seemed to smile for no reason even though there was not a lot of English to be found, waving of arms and smiles usually got the message across.

Cappadocia, the 'Underground City'.

The Cisterns of Istanbul's ancient water supply. Complete with fish and coins.

Balloons over Cappadocia.

The very poignant message delivered by Ataturk in 1934 with reference to the Gallipoli campaign.

I'd never be able to keep him clean!

We just happened to be in Turkey on their National Day. Hence the flags everywhere

Beautiful pics Ciderman-almost as good as being there. Gallipoli made me somber-in a good kind of way.

Yes I did see them in the cisterns Lynn and I didn't like to embarass the lad on a public forum!

He was a real cutie though!

actually I think they are not embarrassed, it is a very proud day! I expect his parents will proudly display photo of him in his white suit for years to come. :-)
