Don't have to go to class (yikes!!!! That class is pricey, pricey), for that group of islands (and Michael's locale) is filled with that....if you tune in. It's just easier on Kauai because it's less Californiated than the others.

The class does look pretty interesting, eh? A pal of mine took this flavor of healing and wowza, is she ever an enlightened being. She's really silly too.
Just love that part,
Guess I'll have to get a camera-I'll be asking about that later.

Provided she didn't miss the plane (again), Linny & CGITMS are off to hula-land.

:BIG:

We are here....didn't miss the plane. It's so beautiful. There are more Iniki chickens running around than ever....laffing so hard.

Hope to lay on Poipu Beach, snorkel and try to remember how to stay on hulatime.

Got you all in my kangaroo pockets of love,
Boy, did we need this.
love

This is only the first photo, from the last day, on my cellphone.
It's a view from the bar at the Marriott on Poipu beach. If you look out straight ahead, that is where we snorkeled almost everyday, swam with Grandfather Turtle, adored the monk seal who had traveled thousands of mile who napped and scratched his old fur off.

More coming later.
This is truly paradise.

Thanx for cheering us on-we really needed this respite.
Aloha & maholo,

Just a little travelogue of the trip....thank goodness we saved some of the piccies off the chip before misplacing the camera (come home little red diggie cam :D )

Sunset at Poipu Beach, Tai Chi time:

Image

Ke'e Beach at the end of the Northern Road. This is the place where you hit the Kalalau trail, which has been promoted to the top 10 hikes and now used for Everest training. Those silly shoes I got worked perfect.
Image

View from the Kalalau trail-replete with vog (volcanic ash and moisture). Kilauea has opened a second vent which points squarely at the other islands. If it wasn't there, you would see the grand Napali mountains which would seem familiar if you'd seen the movie "Jurassic Park," only on the other side:
Image

The view from the condo on Poipu-looking up towards the mountains MAUKA:

Image

Wild chickens are everywhere. When Iniki blew the southern face off of Kauai, the population was released and allowed to just grow naturally. They are everywhere and CGITMS & I happened to be chicken magnets...I kid you not!!! Those guys would surround us and crow. Tourist Haole alert:
Image

Monk Seal on the beach. This was a wonderful blessing. Spect you can speed dial to the photobucket site and see the rest....but I have a warning-silly chickenwoman wearing silly swimsuit with burnt forehead covered by scarf with a Ti leaf under it (did that ever work wonders!!!).
Image

Not a single piccie of CGITMS yet. He was too busy trying to learn how to use the camera.

The camera has been found and is flying back to Omaha.
