Yesterday we went to Snowshill Manor in the Cotswolds.

We went round the house and garden and then on to the Snowshill Lavender fields.

There were no photographs allowed in the house but I took some in the garden and the lavender fields.

Photos photos here

I like the pic of the dovecote! It looks a bit aghast at so many birdies pooing on it!!
Very nice shots, Paul. I don't know why you don't put them up on your Flickr page.

Thanks again, Helen. :D

I'll have to find out how to do that. I've only just found out how to post them on this Google/Picassa web page.

Unfortunately, Linny, the air was not perfumed with lavender except momentarily when we brushed against the plants.

No, the perfume of lavender doesn't seem to carry on the air very well.
Jasmine, on the other hand.................... 8)

So true about Jasmine Helen!!! Bliss!!! Doi!!! We have a whole lot of lavendar (one of my favvies), and I do have to touch it to get the wonderful smell...I guess I thought with that many, perhaps it would be distinctively aromatic. It's a good thing I wasn't there (loved the piccies of SWMBO-she looked positively lovely laying in the sun), the desire to "roll, roll in ze lavendar," (referenced from The Bride of Frankenstien spoof) would have gotten us into big trouble.

Just love the piccies. xox
