Oops :P

Friends of mine went to Libya in 2010 and said the historical sights ranked with the best they'd seen anywhere. Possibly not much left of them now :?

She also talked about going to Syria

Libya's recent elections have been promising, with broadly secular parties winning the majority of votes.
The majority of voters were young people under 35, and they seemed to opt for policy makers rather than ideologies.
Perhaps we'll be able to visit Libya sooner than we think. 8)
