Torre was going to Cancun in January & spent alot of time aligning a big group of palx. linnyx needed a break and couldn't thinx out what to do. So!!!! Torre and linnyx are having an excellent adventure pretty soon. Happinexx alert all aboust!!! We'x meeting in Cancun!!!

See what has happened, six years hence???? Sure do wish you all knew how much love juice you put into an Omahanx broke down cadillac. Who would have thunk, that Arfa being so kind & dear to invite us on HH would have allowed us to survive the worst (and find that what happened wasn't the worst that could happen....given a place of love and kindness-beautiful things happen), make friends, cry, laff, and lead us to a sunny place with people we already love.
It just makes a body leak from the eyes just a little-in a good way.
Pictures to come-which will be pretty funny. This will be a group activity.
love you all so much,
linnyx

We're going to the Mayan Riviera, near Playa del Carmen, where the Geezers went in 2007. I posted pictures of the Mayan village ruins and the pyramid, but that was before the system crash.

Originally, we were going down on the same day, with our flight landing before Linny's. I was going to wait for her bus, in the hotel lobby, wearing a tinfoil hat so she'd recognize me. Don't have to do that now, because she & CGITMS are going down a couple days earlier. She goes in 42 sleeps (Jan 27) and us on Jan 29.

There are 26 in our group. Poor Bob.

I was telling Arfa it's funny how things turn out. Two degrees of separation.

Bob can't wait

Neither can linnyx.

It would be fabulous if y'all wud come. Antennaes for everyone.
Torre did most the 'work.' We just wanted to go wherever she and 25 others were going. We haven't got a clue about that area,
and there's nothing like HH pal-sy hospitality.

Speaking of 2 degrees of separation....our dear Keith came through Omaha and stayed for a wonderful week. It was marvelous!! Then, last year, a relatively local gal in Kansas City (three hours south by auto) got a last minute chance to go to England. Keith pulled out all the bells and whistles to make an incredible journey happen.

That's the way it rolls with HH friends.
love,
linnyx

I would join you, but just the return fares from London are over £700. :(

Drats, we could use a Spanish-speaker.

P.S. I found an American Airlines flight from Heathrow to Miami to Cancun for £590 return, but I have no idea what the resort rates would be on top of that, since we've got a package. The all-incllusive from London to our resort is exorbitant.

I couldn't afford it, Torre, unfortunately.
But I hope you, Linny & CGITMS enjoy it immensely! :)

I knew Torre would check those rates for you Helen. :D Those rates are simply unaffordable!! Sure wish me-n-CGITME had won the lotto. Everyone here would be coming that wanted to or could. We're taking you all with us in Spirit.
love ya all,
linnyx

The airline taxes in Britain are an outrage. The flight I found for £590 was in U.S. dollars. It was $394 US return, before taxes. That would be about £245. The taxes were another $598 U.S. That's 1-1/2 times the cost of the ticket, or 150% of the fare.

Linny has some lovely pictures of Maui. I've got pictures of a bunch of geezers hanging around the bar. It was cloudy & rainy when we were in Mexico.
Speaking of pictures...when this forum ended, I removed all my pics from ImageShack, so they're all gone from here.
