I mentioned on Arfa's internet thread that I called the airline about their sale that came into effect 4 days after I booked. I have a sneaking suspicion they do these things only because they get our booking. Anyway, we and our best pals are going to Roatan the first week in Dec for her 60th birthday.
As it happens, our birthdays are the same day, alas, not the same year. Roatan is a little island off Honduras (Central America) on the Caribbean side.
Here's where we will be staying.

I think the pictures are a bit fuzzy, but if you've seen one palm tree and pool, you've seen em all. At this place you can practically fall out of your room into the ocean. And we probably will.

That doesn't sound bad, but the real-time forecast for this week has, for every day, scattered showers, isolated showers, or a few showers. :)
As long as the rain just comes & goes, as it often does in these places, that's ok.
I'm looking forward to this trip.

That sounds like the weather in Kauai all year long. I'll bet you are going to have a fabulous time. Can't wait for piccies-where does the time go?

We're off in the wee hours for a week. Weather calls for scattered showers every day, but the icon is a sun with clouds next to it, so that doesn't sound too bad. Next Saturday sunny. What makes me laugh is how it says temperature 79, feels like 97. Yikes, that's some humidity.
It's a 4-1/2 hr flight, but we're dropping some passengers in Belize. Hope we don't have to land for that.
