We are talking about Gill and I getting to Canmore, having driven from Vancouver via Kamloops in brilliant sunshine and temperatures of about 19 degrees C, and waking up yesterday morning to snow which continued all day and through today, with minus temperatures!

The forecast is better for tomorrow (our wedding anniversary) and there are signs that the cloud cover is beginning to lift and the snow to melt. Fingers crossed.

We have postponed our trip to Jasper - which should have been tomorrow - until Sunday and Monday. The forecast is for sunshine and so we should be able to get some good photos.

Just saw a weather map forecast for North Americas and it's saying that we are all in for chilly, frigid and snow-wise over here.
Sorry that it didn't show the rest of the world...but we don't live in a vacuum, so perhaps it's going to be like that back home. IIt's a pretty big shock to the system!!

Gotta admit, this is REALLY early for snow-who would have thunk???

Have a really tremendous anniversary celebration-crossing my fingers and eyes that the weather will permit your plans.
looking forward to your photos, xox

The weather was superb for our anniversary but is rubbish today - cold and rainy. :(

We hope to go to Jasper at the weekend and have got our fingers crossed that the weather improves. It was forecast as being good today but they got it wrong.

Today the temperature reached 22 C! We are in Jasper having travelled up the Icefield Parkway.

Tomorrow, 15th Sept we are going on the Lake Maligne Cruise before returning to Canmore for one night and from there to Calgary for our flights home.

It all seems to have gone very quickly but we will be home sometime on 17th Sept. And if we can find a way of downloading the photos on this iPad you will all be given a link it suffer.

What a holiday! Lower 30's in Michigan, subzero temperatures and about 10 inches of snow in Canmore and now low to middle 20's in Jasper.

Hope to be posting on the home computers soon.

I'm glad the temp has returned to normal for this time of year. It's chillier where I am.
