Just spent a happy couple of hours trying to get the RyanAir website to accept a booking.

Got there in the end, and so we're off to Pisa and Florence, etc for two weeks from the end of May.

Now trying to book a hotel for one night before we go to our villa 8) (but again the internet is letting us down. :( )

Have to get the old phone out.

Then we've got to think about hiring a car...........  (might do that when we get there).

Then there's the cat sitter, the Mother in Law sitter, and all the other exciting alterations and arrangements ........... Is it REALLY worth all the hassle?

Tell me about it, Paul. The coach to the airport, the coach back, dog sitting, etc..... And don't forget that Ryanair charge you for your luggage! And for meals! Be prepared! And then again...sometimes they even just cancel the flight with little warning. :!:

On the other hand, it may just all go swimmingly well! 8) I hope so - have a great time.

We've paid for one bag each (15kg each no leeway or sharing of allowances - so SWMBO will only be taking a quarter of what she normally takes :D which means I will be able to lift the cases. )

If RyanAir try to cancel the flight they'll have SWMBO to face - sooner them than me!

It WILL go swimmingly and we WILL have a good time!!

Paul, Florence is lovely, I overdosed on art and culture when I went. Thinking of going to Pisa myself this year though not 'til september/october. You must tell us all about it when you get back.

I wonder if the time will ever come, Lynn, when you get tired of going to Turkey? I mean...when you have a house there, I realise that all hols must be spent there to justify the purchase :P but surely you must get a yen to visit other places/countries? Or are you & Nige so in love with Turkey that it won't happen?

I spent 24 years in Spain, and can go whenever I like to stay with my son (just a cheap air fare & no expenses) but the fact is that I don't go very often, and prefer to 'discover' other countries too.

Just a thought! :fadein:

Ah but a good investment, holidays costing nothing, property going up in value. I think a good idea. But agree if you lived there that would be different. A nice little pension earner for the future.
