I think you would like Anglesey Helen, plenty of standing stones and dowsing.

The trouble is, Arthur, you need a car to get to these places. There are quite a few on Man as well, but they're well off the beaten track & I never got to go to any of them.

I don't think I'll drive again. My eyesight just isn't good enough. Haven't driven for 6 years now - I've probably forgotten how! :P

Thats not good to hear about your eyes Helen, have you cataracts?
Dilly can see perfectly now and after wearing glasses most of her life, she possibly only need them for reading.
But give it time I think her eyes are proving all the time, I have noticed her reading without, more about it being a habit.
Just one other thing there is public transport on Anglesey where you can use your bus pass.

Unfortunately the London Bus Pass was not valid on the Isle of Man.
Neither was my mobile phone!! Just wouldn't work over there, and others in the group said the same! I just used it as a clock!
Strange old place, the IoM!

I doubt if I'll be going to Anglesey any time soon. After this exhausting trip & then the one to Scotland at the end of July, I'll be staying at home a lot!!

By the way - no, I don't think I have cataracts...just damned bad eyesight! I suppose I should have another eye test & get new glasses. But hey.

We will be going through LlanfairPG on our way to the ferry at Holyhead when we go to Ireland (Galway, Connemara & Clare) for a fortnight on Saturday.

I'll wave to you and them as we pass through. :)

Are you going by coach or car, well worth a stop there at the station, usually a Welsh dressed lady there at a good shop.

Taking the car and driving ourselves.

That means Gill can take as much luggage as she likes and only the car suffers.

We're not really in to Welsh Dressers so won't stop!
