Oh, good on Torre asking so many great questions, and better yet, so good to get your news Helen!!! And pics no less!! It looks beautiful and your flat is wonderful!! I think you've made great progress in acclimating - with friends and clubs and kids. It's great Helen, even if it is more spread out. Alfie looks thrilled!!!

Lovely pictures, Helen. I'm glad you're getting some exercise and don't need the vet or dentist yet.

Lovely day here today, been down to the beach with Alfie.

Here's a pic taken recently at a pub near where I live - it wasn't such a nice day then! The girl is feeding the geese.

This is Oystermouth Castle, also not far away..

Lovely castle and lovely geese. I wish we had castles here. Do you know when the castle was built and what it was used for?

My cleaning lady wasn't really up to scratch (I was spoiled with my lovely Polish lady in Catford!) but another one is coming to see me tomorrow to talk about my cleaning needs. Fingers crossed.

I have a "day free" today, as Alfie has gone to be groomed...desperately needed! They pick him up in the morning & return him in the afternoon - all for 25 quid! The sun is shining & I have done absolutely nothing all day, so far!!

Yesterday, this waterfall began pouring through the ceiling of my spare bedroom...!! I rushed upstairs & banged on the student's door to see what was going on. He had a blocked drain apparently. The carpet was squelching wet! Thought the carpet was ruined, but I seem to be drying it out OK. Mind you, electric fan heaters ramp up the electricity bill!! The mattress, duvet etc were also soaked. Thank goodness I had enough spare towels to mop up the worst of it. Un-needed water seems to dog my life here!

Onwards & upwards.

WOW Helen! Is that not covered by insurance?

What insurance?!

Post subject:  Re: Wales

Contents insurance - if you have it.

It might be covered under the Landlords insurance.

I forgot it was a rental property. Is that not the landlord's responsibility?
