We managed to get some New York time in. Always fun. My son splurged to treat us all to one night at the Waldorf Astoria. What old time glamor. It was gorgeous and such a treat. Sitting in the old fashioned bar downstairs sipping champagne - what more could a "girl" want? (except maybe having Harrison Ford sitting across from me instead of my sons MIL!
)
We also went to the restaurant (forgot it's name) that Anthony Bourdain is associated with. It's french style, beautiful food and reasonable prices. I really enjoyed that especially since I love his program.
Took the hop on hop off bus which should be renamed "Hop on and Duck!" Sitting at the top there is no telling when tree branches or street signs and street lights will appear and threaten decapitation. No joke! Obviously that wasn't taken into consideration when organizing the bus tour. The tour guide spent a lot of time ducking - I'm glad we didn't lose him.....
I love to visit NY but I'm glad I don't live there anymore.
