Two little men in a flying saucer
Came to rest upon our lawn
A sad little heap
They fell asleep.
I found them there crying at dawn
Their manners were rude
They ate all my food.
I could not catch up on their chatter
As daily I worked
The little men shirked
And simply got fatter and fatter.
They left in a week
Without even a squeak
Back to their home planet Mars.
'Twas then that I found
As they flew off the ground
They'd taken the grass in jam jars.
