We were in Worcestershire over the week end (photos will be published when I get a minute or six) and there is a little rhyme about several of the villages we passed through which goes:-

There's Peopleton, Poppleton, Tibberton and Crowle,
North Piddle, Wyre Piddle and Piddle in the Hole.

Piddle is an old dialect word for stream or brook.

What say you?

Not really. This isn't exactly what you're looking for, but it's all I can think of:

Not too big, not too small
Just the size of Montreal.

Not really about Launceston in general but Charles Causley wrote several peoms including "As I went down the Zig-Zag" and I can see this old miner path from my office window which after the quarrying had stopped led down to the railway before that kind Dr Beeching had the brilliant idea of shutting down the railway line :?
