The Mouse

A mouse came to our classroom high,
On a cool, cool morn so clear
And I was picking daisies on the hearthrug there
He reached me through a fissure,
In the brown and rotting wood,
Curled his tail , looked at me
And spelled my name in chalk,
And laughed and bit my leg off at the knee!

A funny little pome, Michael!! :lol!: Sounds a bit like a nightmare!
I wrote masses of poems as a kid, but unfortunately none have been preserved!
