Hi Linny. I hope you are keeping well. I have not been in here for a while because I have been busy looking after hubby after his knee replacement. Its been a hectic time just of late trying to get my hubby walking. I got SO cross with him in the end I told him just because he sat on his butt all day waiting for the Grim Reaper did not mean to say that I had to. I think it hit home because he got ready and went out to post a letter this morning.  Mind you he will be 80 next week so I suppose its to be expected but I dont want him to give up just yet.  I have booked a meal out for 12 people to celebrate his birthday milestone which will be held here. http://www.probablythebestpubsintheworl ... arden.aspx My son took us there on Saturday and we had a super meal so I know that it will be OK. So glad to hear from you Maisie!!! That knee replacement is pretty rough, especially in the later years. Glad you gave him the boot (had to do the same thing with my wroggly mom-it felt really bad, but it seems to help in the end). The Plough looks beautiful!!! What a way to celebrate your octamacallit!!! Are you doing things for yourself too? Caregiver's often forget themselves along the way-what do you do that's special for you....I know you write. I think about you and your stories quite often, love, linnyx Happy Birthday to hubs!! |

Hi Linny, Thanks for thinking of me and I had a great day last Monday because it was my birthday AND it was also my lovely daughter-in-laws birthday too. Mind you my d-i-l had to go to work but she came after work because I had open house all day for neighbours and friends to pop in. The ages ranged from 17 up to someone in her 80s of those who called in with either a card or a lovely hug. It was a super day with many laughs and stories being told. I wish you could have been there you would have loved it.

OH how I wish I had been-sounds like the perfect kind of an all-day celebration!!! So, you are a Taurus?? And your birthday is the same as my Son in love's & the day after my mom's. Got a Taurus moon-so love them Taurus'.... am I counting rightly, so hubs is a Taurus TOO!!!! Sounds like Taurean heaven round your place.....now that explains a whole bunch. You'd better check in on the Birthday thread, there's a big tattle tale here, I'm just really glad you all got born and I get to hear the stories.....when you get settled in-can we have some more please?
