I signed up ages ago to the Monarch website, to get updates of flight deals etc, and used to get an email every now & then.

But now....if I follow a link from their email, just to see what's going on & whether anything tempts me - I get 2 or 3 new emails almost straight away, urging me to book or look at other options!! :x It's very annoying! I think airlines everywhere are hurting with sales going down the pan due to high taxes etc (as mentioned on another thread.) Not a reason for harrassment though!

That's just silly!

I get that from Tripadvisor whenever I go on their site.

I get the Monarch emails but can't say I've clicked on the links in them so that's worth knowing, thanks!

I get info from Tripadvisor but only because I use them and have posted one or two comments on places we have been to.

I don't get much from the budget airlines I have used - Ryanair and Easyjet - but have not tried Monarch yet. The last one I used was Easyjet in early May this year when we went to Italy and on our return I complained to them. Haven't heard a thing since, apart from an acknowledgement of my complaint. Perhaps you should complain to them.

Thats funny. How do they make that connection between us? :?

Unless there is a connection through FB. Although I don't get any such messages.

Yes, Paul, it's FB. I believe you have to post something on Trip Advisor before your friends are told about it.
