We are off to a gathering to cellebrate this event in Alvechurch with some like minded friends. They live in Bear Hill which is just off Snake Lane by Withybed Lane. Good old Pagan names.

We will be there for the event at 11.11am which our leader tells us is the most auspicious time.

What, if anything, are any of you doing to mark this date?

I shall have a little private ceremony at home, as I have no like minded souls near me.
I'll use a sweet little two sided drum that I acquired today...

There are plenty big celebs going on - one at the Unity Church Hall in Islington, which lasts all night!

How they celebrated the solstice in Avebury.

Try & watch it till the end, rather moving from a non-believer..

(I can't seem to get the Xmas greetings bit out of the way :evil:

I've just been able to watch this video completely without the computer shutting down on me.

What a reaction!!! At one point I am sure that I felt the energy there.

Our little celebration in Alvechurch was moving but not to the extent as this one.

We met at our friend's home at 10.45am and five of us meditated through the 11.11am point had some lunch and, just as we were about to go home she said that she was having another little psrty thet evening and would we like to come back for it. We said 'yes please' and returned for a slightly larger gathering at 6.30pm.

Wewere supposed to be meditating at 7.00pm but as two of the members of her group had not arrived this was delayed. We had some eats and a few drinks until the two mebers arrived, making our party10 in all.

Seven of us ('cos 3 just didn't believe and were with their partners) went to meditate on the date at 9.00pm and completed at about 9.20pm. We suddenly realised that, 0n the 24 hour clock, we had meditated from 2100hrs through 2112 hrs to 2120hrs. :shock:

Synchronicity or what??

The whole day felt good and we were glad that we had been able to meditate simultaneously with others round the country and World on this auspicious day.

bit confused!! who is this guy,starting off telling us all about his flu and how is him driving through Marlborough high st showing how they celebrated solstice in Avebury?? Have I missed something?xx
