We recently drove a few kilometers to a little village in the mountains where pure, sweet water comes firing out of a rock wall. Having loaded up the car with bottles we are now using it to drink during this very hot spell.

The usual clicking onto the picture to enlarge it may not work as I am having to use some image manipulation software that is not my usual stuff.

Not sure I would want to drink it after people had thrown money into it, and little girls had paddled around in it...and other things that are not mentioned!! :|

The Alpujarras have these springs coming out of rock faces too, but the water usually has a high mineral content & is often red.

In the town of Buxton (Derbyshire) you can fill up bottles of water to take home too.

The bit the cash is in and the little girls paddling part is below the source. I assume that is inside the mountain somewhere although I don't really know. I had forgotten about Buxton, and I used to go to a tap with very smelly water in Harrogate when I was little. My dad used to insist that it was good for me. It smelled sulphory like rotten eggs.
