The Geezer Gang is off to Cuba on Saturday, Jan 31. We liked it so much, we're going to the same place. It's adults only. Bliss.
So, you've already seen the pictures and I won't have to take any more.

Pictures on page 1. It's only been a year (unlike a certain pseudo-move which was much longer ago--or, so they tell me).
HOM don't listen to her; I've never been to Havana.

Have a fabulous time-and do take a couple pics if you got the time and energy. May not be all that long before us Yanks get to go to.

A guy from Omaha just got busted for bringing in the cigars (shut yer eyes Thais). They aren't even going to spank him that bad.

Cuba Libre,
geezerwomanxox

We met a guy the first time we were there, at the other end of the island, who was awaiting sentencing for selling cigars illegally. He expected three years, if I recall. He should be out by now.

We've got all the luggage we're allowed this time, taking stuff down for the locals. Oh, I gotta tell you this. Why on earth there was a machete for sale in a truck stop in the Midwest, I have no clue, but hubby bought it and brought it home. It's got at least a 15" blade on it, and it's in one of our bags. Don't know who the lucky gardener is going to be. That is, if they don't toss us in the hoosegow. If the machete makes it down, I'll take a picture. I'd do it now, but I don't want to unpack.
In the same case is a new motorcycle battery, sans acid. If they don't think we're about to massacre, they'll think we've got a bomb.

Linny, I'm not on my way yet---next weekend.

Lynn, since I couldn't get a human on the phone at the airline and they didn't answer my email, I downloaded a list of permissible checked items from the Canadian Air Transport Security Authority.

Allowed: hatchets, box cutters, hunting knives, axes, meat cleavers, crow bars, crossbows, arrows and darts, knives and knife-like objects of any length (bingo). However, no catapults or blowguns.

WOW-that's wild....we Southerner's from Canana may get to take liquids on board, instead of little bags that you carry and have checked. Looks like you are good to go then, and how kind of you to take needful things with you. Yer a sweetheart.
love,
linnyx
(had the same thot as Lynn about verifying your good character....except, mine might not be all that helpful :D )

ps-was sure you'd left....I never pack until the night before...laffing so hard

Well, like in other areas of life, there are night-before packers and there are week-before packers.

The machete sailed through no prob, but I forgot to take a picture of it with the gardener. Another suitcase with pocket knives was questioned in Cuba, but let through without opening, by a sympathetic guard who suggested the "blades" must be for fishing, right?

Our friend got his new motorcycle battery and running shoes.

The weather was lousy--windy and cool. I was in the pool only once all week. Too bad, but we had a good time anyway. Some of the (younger) crew went to the bat cave for the disco one night.
